About Loadout Command
Loadout Command is a fan-made resource for WARDOGS, the tactical FPS by Bulkhead (published by Team17). We're not affiliated with Bulkhead or Team17 — see the official WARDOGS Steam page for the real thing.
Why this site exists
WARDOGSlaunched into Early Access with a genuinely unusual mechanic at its core: every life starts with a $10,000 budget, and how you spend it matters as much as how you shoot. Most guide content for the game — including ours at first — starts from the same public sources everyone else uses: official patch notes, community price trackers, and datamined item lists. That's a fine starting point, but it's not enough to tell you what actually works in a real match. So alongside that baseline data, we built this site around a second source most guide sites don't use at all: hands-on strategy drawn from real creator gameplay.
How the strategy content is sourced
The money-making tactics on the economy guide, the per-role "What Players Are Saying" tier notes on each role page, and the mechanics covered on the beginner tips guideare synthesized from transcripts of real early-access and beta gameplay — hours of actual play, not a datamined spreadsheet. We deliberately don't name or link individual streamers/creators here (we don't have their consent to be cited as endorsing this site), but the content itself is written to be honest about its source and its limits:
- Where multiple independent sources agree, we present it as settled — e.g. specific weapon unlock levels confirmed across more than one playthrough.
- Where creators genuinely disagree (shotgun value on the Support tree, M4 vs. Galil), we say so explicitly instead of picking a side to sound more authoritative than we actually are.
- Anything framed as "community consensus" or "widely considered" is a read on the current patch, not a permanent ranking — WARDOGS is a live-service game in Early Access and balance will change.
How the loadout calculator's prices are sourced
Weapon and gear prices on the loadout calculator are cross-checked against community price trackers as of the patch noted on the news page. Bulkhead tunes vendor and unlock prices per patch — the Season 1 launch alone moved several prices by 3x — so treat exact numbers as current, not permanent, and check the news hub if something looks off after a balance patch.
Corrections and feedback
If something on this site is wrong, out of date after a patch, or you have hands-on experience that contradicts a claim here, email contact@wardogs-loadout.com — we'd rather fix it than leave it.
